Who Is Trombone Shorty?

Trombone Shorty has been playing and bandleading for literally his whole life; at the age of four he performed with Bo Diddley, by six he led a brass band, and when he hit his teens he was touring in Lenny Kravitz' band. In his work as a bandleader Shorty has dabbled in everything from rock to funk, rap to jazz, and everything in between, but regularly returning to his roots with the classic New Orleans sound for good measure. Artists including Jeff Beck, Kid Rock and New Orleans legends The Meters have appeared on his tracks. Shorty is more than keeping New Orleans jazz alive... he's taking it swinging into the modern day and beyond!
